Welcome to our condo in building 11, our very personal South Maui hide-a-way. We offer limited vacation rentals for two - three adults or a family of 4 at the beautiful, tropical, beach front, island resort of WAILEA EKAHI VILLAGE.

This one+ bedroom, two bath unit has amazing ocean views less than 80 yards from the beach in a quiet location on the green belt in Ekahi's lower village.

An almost level walk of less than two minutes down the green belt (left) or private, paved drive takes you to the pictured pool where there is access to Wailea's Keawakapu Beach (and the famous Wailea ocean front board walk) via a locked gate. A second pool, very quiet and private is adjacent to our building.

Our Remodel is finally Complete 4/10/06

When I left Maui August 18 there were few interior walls and no ceilings in our condo. Now all ceilings are 9' or higher, and all doors are 8'. I've got a wonderful decorator and we have been busy picking furniture, fabrics, carpeting and more. All the pieces have finally come together and we are now a fully functional home. The only thing that didn't change here are the views. In the living room, the views across the greenbelt run all the way from the West Maui Mountains to the north, to Lanai, Kahoolawe and Molokini to the south, insuring wonderful year round sunsets and in season whale watching from your lanai.



Our new custom enlarged kitchen is so well outfitted you'll mistake it for home. Featuring teak cabinetry, Corian counters, panels on all appliances, lots of storage & counter space. and plenty of room for 2 to work comfortably.
 
 

REMODEL HIGHLIGHTS:

  • New Teak Kitchen: Bosch Dishwasher, Sub Zero Refrigerator with 2 extra Refrigerator drawers and 2 freezer drawers, Dacor Electric Cooktop, Wall oven mounted below the range, Corian counters, etc...
  • 2 New Baths (with walk in showers - one can also be a soaking tub) and great ocean views.
  • Enlarged Master bedroom & dressing area with seating area adjacent to sliding window wall - full ocean views from this room too.

  • Duplexing printer that can print photos from your digital camera's cards, fax, answering machine & flat bed scanner.
  • All new Furniture, Flooring and Appliances. Some of my favorite art, etc.

We have manipulated this floor plan to create a small second bedroom with bath and dressing area. This special space will function as a spacious hallway to the second bath until one or two twin beds are opened. For families of 4 the wall bed converts the single twin into bunk beds. A sliding screen will provide privacy. We think this a comfortable and unique way to offer a second private sleep zone.

When not in use as a second bedroom, the 2nd bath integrates with the master to create a double bath. Drawer and hanging storage is plentiful. The bed is extra high to accommodate golf clubs, luggage, etc.(see floorplan below)

Our goal for decorating this space is understated, high end with touches of Hawaiiana. A comfortable, welcoming spot that shouts SPECIAL when you walk in the door and invites you to relax and enjoy!

Colors are warm & light to complement our teak cabinetry, Flowery tropical touches, "straw colored" and teal tiles will offer color. Our dining room table has a glass top supported by a pottery bowl painted with Koi inside and sitting on a Chinese stand.

The view didn't change but everything else in this room (except the high ceilings) did. This photo lacks some finishing touches but you can get the idea.

The picture to the left is our living room. Photos are so hard to take here as the water views appear farther away than they actually are and the interiors are hard to get with so many windows. I've done my best. Watch for new, professional photos soon. Come enjoy our sunny space.

The furnishings and fittings are all new, high end but comfortable and welcoming. The color pallet is similar to our 32D with built in cabinetry for desk with printer, fax, etc in the bedroom and teak bookcases, custom made to surround the living room picture window and offer some storage (including our 38" LCD HDTV

A new electric grill is available on the living room lanai. Please take the time to clean it if you use it.
 

First of several pieces of commissioned art - the HONU triptic was painted on panels by local artist Guy Junker. It says MAUI to us! You can snorkel with the Honu (sea turtle) off Ulua beach near us and many other places on Maui. They are protected, so don't touch.


A dishwasher, microwave, blender, coffee maker, coffee grinder, CD/DVD player, TV, VCR, iron/board and full size stacked washer/dryer are in the unit for your convenience.

Our housekeeper is available should you have any concerns. She is anxious to help so your vacation can be as care free as possible.

We provide starter supplies for your cleaning needs, a hair dryer, beach towels for all and some beach chairs. Daily or mid-stay maid service is available should you so desire for a very small fee.

WiFI or wired Ethernet high speed internet access (by Clear Wire) is available on our in-condo network. A networked, HP OfficeJet (combo fax machine, color copier, printer, flat bed scanner), answering machine and cordless phones are also available in the unit.

Because of a bend in the shore line, the bedroom offers even closer in ocean views (See top photo) than this view from the kitchen and living room. That bedroom view is also seen from the living room and kitchen.

It is a bit more to the south but still with sunsets, spectacular moon rises, Molokini and Kahoolawe. There is a peaceful spot for reading in the early morning and afternoon in front of a window wall that opens to the fresh sea air in the bedroom.

Should work intervene during your vacation in paradise, the bedroom has a desk. An Eastern King bed, full opening window wall, amazing views, and full bath (double if you have rented as a couple) and dressing room.

A short, sloping, easy walk takes you to the beach and fabulous beachfront pool (covered cabana, kitchen and bath facilities) but other pools (unheated and designated "quiet") are near by.

ABOUT EKAHI VILLAGE & WAILEA:
Its reliable weather, beautiful soft sand beaches, gentle waves and world class golf and tennis facilities have made this south Maui resort of Wailea a favorite destination for discriminating travelers from all over the world. There are several exceptional restaurants and lots of others within 15 minutes of the condo – several are walkable on the beach or sidewalks in Wailea. Though with views like ours, we far prefer purchasing local fish and grilling on our lanai.

Our Keawakapu Beach (kay ah vah ka’ puh) may be the best walking and snorkeling beach on our side of the island.

THINGS TO DO ON MAUI:
I have a packet with directions, maps, things to do, contact numbers for golf and tennis, etc that I mail after full payment is received. I can send info on reduced rate car rentals or brochures for Wailea Golf and Tennis upon request. If our unit isn’t available I can often recommend others.

We're still adding finishing touches but it is truly a refreshing hide-a-way. Come see for yourself why the Hawaiians say "Maui No Ka Oi" (Maui is the best!)
